We can’t post a blog in February and not make a mild reference to Valentine’s Day! So we had a good chat about what our designers and customers are really loving for their kitchen wishlist right now.
Colour schemes
There seems to be a neverending appreciation for blues and greys in kitchen colour schemes. We are seeing more confidence with the deeper colours too, our customers are getting bolder with deep blues and dark greys, and we are here for it! We particularly love the deep colours paired with pale and white quartz worktops. The deep greens are just as fabulous, and we always get excited to see a bold colour scheme on a wishlist.
Boiling water taps
Quooker has always had the top spot on our designers’ wishlists, and our customers are in total agreement. A Quooker is requested for almost every kitchen we do, and it’s not hard to see why. The style options, the safety features, and the addition of sparkling water in the Quooker Cube just makes it an unbeatable boiling water tap.
Quartz worktops
Quartz is by the far the most popular worktop material in our design consultations, and customers consistently love the white or very pale tones. However, some black quartz styles with deep veining are starting to gather momentum online and in the press. It has more than caught our attention, so watch this space as one of our display kitchens is getting a dark and decadent overhaul!
Downdraft extraction
The downdraft extractors are growing in popularity. We love the Bora range of downdraft extractors, they’re stylish, efficient and easy to keep clean. Three great reasons to love an appliance! These extractors are easily dismantled into three pieces which are all dishwasher-safe.
What you are really gaining with a downdraft extractor is the freedom of space above your hob. It completely negates the need for a large overhead extractor system and opens up so many more possibilities for your kitchen layout.
Storage
Hidden drawers, pan drawers, accessible corners, pull-out larders, we all want a stylish kitchen, but we all want more storage too. High up on the wishlist for everyone is stylish storage and clever ways to integrate more of it! Everyone needs another drawer for bits and bobs, right?
