COMMUNITY

Kitchens Bespoke and the community

INVESTING IN THE COMMUNITY

Being a small, family-run, independent business, a sense of community is important to us. Having lived and worked in the area our whole lives and raised a family here, we’re very invested in our local community.

We are an active family, keen hockey players and when we’re not at work or on the hockey pitch, you’ll find us out with the dogs and horses. Our local area has a vibrant sporting scene, so it made absolute sense for us to contribute time and resource back into the community via our love of sport.

East Grinstead Hockey Club

We’re proud sponsors of the East Grinstead Hockey Club, supporting both elite athletes realise their potential on the international stage, alongside welcoming newcomers to the sport, getting their first taste of this great game.

The club is internationally recognised, boasting Olympic players on the elite side, a thriving juniors club and vibrant amateurs club. The quality of facilities and coaching has attracted a wonderfully diverse and inclusive membership, making the club a central feature in East Grinstead’s social and sporting calendar. As well as our role as a match day sponsor for two elite home fixtures a year, we are still active players and Guy Workman is a Vice President at the club, volunteering his time and expertise to help the club continue to be one of the leading hockey clubs in the UK.

For more information about the club or to join, visit their website: eghockey.co.uk

Penshurst Point-to-Point

Once again, we’re sponsoring our fantastic local Point-to-Point fixture at historic Penshurst. We’ll be sponsoring the Best Turned Out competition that runs alongside each race rewarding the staff that put so much into the care and turnout of the horses.

Not only is it a great rural tradition, but a great family day out in the countryside. We’ll be there on Sunday 12 March cheering on all the runners and riders!

Surrey Spring Show, Felbridge Showground

This local show is a great day out for amateur riders in the area and one we’re delighted to support, particularly in our sponsorship of the Racehorse to Riding Horse class.

As animal lovers and keen equestrians ourselves, this class is dedicated to the retraining of racehorses from their racing careers into happy and active lives as leisure horses. A movement established by Retraining of Racehorses (RoR), British Horseracing’s official charity for the welfare of horses who have retired from racing.

Racehorses tend to retire at a young age and as such, with the right training and care can be given the opportunity to embrace a second career and the chance to excel in new disciplines.

We wish everyone taking part the best of luck.
